Description
The skull on fire
This is a structural, tactile painting of the Minecraft art. It's made of 1024 individually placed structural dots. The painting is based on Minecraft art that was created by Kristoffer Zetterstrand.
The Texture
The painting is composed of 1024 individual structural dots. I’ve applied each one by hand to create a physical 3D relief that rises off the surface. By using different varnishes and art mediums the canvas is finished in matt finish, and the structural dots are in satin finish, the portrait reacts to the light. Depending on where you stand, the shadows shift, bringing depth to the piece.

Because of the delicate, raised nature of the structural dots, standard cardboard isn't enough.
